“VIDEO RESET”
VIDEO RESET -
This procedure is used to resolve a “double screen” condition on the upper
“operator” screen. The double screen condition is usually caused by power surges
from either the power source (power company) or from the Micros terminal itself
(power supply). In either case the “Video Reset” procedure will in most cases
fix the “double screen” condition.
To
perform the Video Reset
-
Insert Mgr key into the Key lock and turn clockwise.
-
Power off Micros terminal.
-
While holding down the bottom right corner key on the lower keyboard, power on
the Micros terminal.
(Touchscreen users – this
key is usually the [00] key)
(Keyboard users - this key
is usually the [CASH] key)
The
upper operator screen will now appear in reverse video.
Now
perform a “System Reset”
-
Insert Mgr key into the Key lock and turn clockwise.
-
Power off Micros terminal.
-
While holding down the [CLEAR] key, power on the Micros terminal.
The
Micros terminal will now display “SYSTEM RESET”, press [CLEAR] to continue.
The
upper operator screen should now appear normal.
Repeat
these steps if it does not correct the double screen condition.
