- If a foreign object, such as a push pin or paper clip drops into the auto
cutter, it can cause the printer to go into an error state which will begin
the recovery operation automatically. This is when the LED blinks continuiously,
but it is possible for the error to be corrected automatically. If the problem
is not serious, the auto cutter will return itself to it's normal position
without any intervention by the user.
If this is not the case, and the auto cutter does not return to position
normal, follow the following steps to correct the problem.
- Pull the cover towards you, so you can rotate the cutter motor knob.
- Rotate the cutter motor knob counterclockwise.
- Following the instructions on the caution label, rotate the knob until
the triangle shaped indicator ( pictured above ) appears in the hole.
